20 years ago: GARY NUMAN – “Jagged”

On March 13, 2006 Gary Numan released his 15th studio album “Jagged”. Did you already know these 5 facts?
★ There are five years between the release of the previous album “Pure” and “Jagged”.
Jagged” was recorded in London.
★ “Jagged” is the first album to be released on Numan’s own label Mortal Records.
★ Originally, “Jagged” should have been released in 2003. He told Barcode magazine in May 2006 that the reasons for the delay were the birth of his two children after years of unsuccessful IVF attempts, problems with his former record company and the fear of producing a successful follow-up album to the critically acclaimed “Pure”.
★Due to the relatively long time it took to write the album, some of the songs had already been released in different ways at the time of publication. “Haunted” began as an instrumental track on the 2002 compilation “Exposure”. “Halo” was first performed live in 2003 as “Does God Bleed?” before being released on a live DVD in 2005 together with the title track “Jagged”.
