It’s been 40 years since Ozzy Osbourne released his fourth studio album “The Ultimate Sin”. Did you already know these 8 facts?
★ Lead guitarist Jake E. Lee plays on an Osbourne album for the second and last time.
★ He is responsible for most of the music on this album.
★ Most of the lyrics were written by Bob Daisley, bassist and lyricist for Ozzy Osbourne. He left the band before the recordings.
★ “The Ultimate Sin” is the first album in which drummer Randy Castillo is involved.
★ The working title of the album was “Killer of Giants”, after the song of the same name.
★ After this album, Ozzy’s classic logo didn’t appear on an album cover again until 2014 (“Scream”).
★ At the time of its release, “The Ultimate Sin” was Ozzy’s most successful album.
★ “The Ultimate Sin” was awarded platinum in May 1986. In October 1994, it even went double platinum.
