THE CHILDREN’S CRUSADE – “Black, Bruised & Broken Down”

Eighties industrial rock
THE CHILDREN’S CRUSADE
“Black, Bruised, and Broken Down“
Album (in-house production)
The Children’s Crusade have chosen the increasing mental decline and loss of identity as the theme of their debut album. Mastermind Jason Schmal’s vocals perfectly convey the moods between madness and decline. Thematically, “Black, Bruised, and Broken Down” is no walk in the park, but it shines with its sophisticated eighties rock sounds, peppered with electronic industrial elements, without remaining stuck in the past. For half an hour, the Chicagoans lead us through the dark history and convince us with a natural looseness and authenticity.
