In the usual snotty manner, “Get Your Overdose” is a powerful blast to the ears. Cruel Daughters know their craft, there’s absolutely no softness here, the answer is uncomfortable and mercilessly direct. This album lives up to its name to the highest degree, which is not only underlined by tracks like “Berlin K0k41n”. Aranea Peel polarizes, and does so by every trick in the book. Sometimes coquettishly pouting, then gentle again, only to strike ice-cold in the next moment, a fast-paced mixture (even quite unusually stomping sounds, as in the catchy tune “Opt4kf4ck”) that is addictive.
