NIGHT TAPES: Experimental Dream Pop
SPONSORED POST

Night Tapes will release their album “portals//polarities” on September 26, 2025. Their musical style, which relies heavily on field recordings that the band incorporates fluidly and often spontaneously into their sound, could best be described as experimental dream pop.
The London-based band explains the meaningful album title “portals//polarities”: “We found the name thematically fitting for the lyrical direction of the album. There were many extreme emotions we felt while working on this album. Our focus can be a portal, our bodies can be portals (to sensations), images and sounds can be portals. We live in a time where we can use our focus to mentally transport ourselves to very extreme places. In my opinion, we have the power to create portals to nurturing, beautiful realities and to choose to become aware of our self-referential reality tunnels and question what is useful in them for us as individuals and for us as a collective. We need to be able to believe that a good outcome is possible in order to get there.”
