The dark forests of Finland pass you by like a movie. Only rarely does a ray of light manage to make its way through the dense, menacing treetops. There is definitely more shadow than light here. Then your mind’s eye turns to an enchanted witch’s hut. Because “Noidat” means “witch” in Finnish. The atmosphere becomes more and more charged, the tension becomes unbearable. Shrouded in mysticism, Marrasmaa create cinematic soundscapes with dark folk tones that are second to none. Ultimately, it is your story that you hear echoing in the six tracks. – What might it look like?
