After two EPs, the French death doomers from Nornes dare to release a full album for the first time. Although it contains just five songs, they each have a running time of nine to twelve minutes. So the quartet is in no hurry, but the songs still have a skillful build-up of tension. In addition, the alternating vocals between grunts and melodies provide variety. If you like a mixture of traditional Doom, Funeral Dom and Death Metal, you should definitely give it a listen. Our Love of Absurd” should be mentioned as a play tip, here the described interplay of the two voices works particularly well.
