EL CULTO DEL OCULTO: Dark synth-pop from Mexico
Automatic translation. Improvements are constantly being worked on.
Gloomy, electronic, and atmospheric: The Mexican synth-pop project El Culto del Oculto has announced a new album, *Dolores*, set for release on September 4, 2026. Eleven tracks blend dark wave, synth-pop, post-punk, and alternative rock into a sound that lies somewhere between melancholic twilight and analog horror. Classic drum machines and synthesizers create a dense sonic foundation over which Alex’s ethereal voice floats. If you don’t want to wait that long, you can already listen to it in advance on Bandcamp !
