For the 30th anniversary of Advocatus Diaboli, the band will be reborn from the ashes once again. After all, Advocatus Dei emerged from them in 2025, but that’s another story. In any case, Advocatus Di aboli are celebrating their birthday with “30 Farewell & Origins”. Songs from the three albums “Enter Your Forest” (2001), “Sterbend durch die Sonne” (2004) and “Sternenmarsch” (2006) were deliberately left out, as these are still available. The aim of “30 Farewell & Origins” is to make what is no longer available audible again. The original tapes were used and only the technical quality was improved. The main focus is clearly on the beginnings of the band from before the turn of the millennium. Most of the songs come from the demo “Darkside of Sping” (1997), which was never released in this form. In addition, there are some recordings from 1996 and demos from 1998/99. A special treat are the two brand new songs “Vergiss mich nicht” and “Auf die Barrikaden”, which are marked as “feat. Advocatus Dei” – and thus mark the transition from Advocatus Diaboli to Advocatus Dei . A final farewell that leaves Advocatus Diaboli burning once again – for almost an hour and a half.
