With their seventh studio album “Aenigma” the Gothic Rock formation Aeon Sable presents a new interpretation of a world at the abyss. After a four-year hiatus since their last release “Aether”, they once again unleash their uniquely dark sound on Berlin-based label Solar Lodge. The track titles alone speak of a deep darkness that is the trademark of this Ruhr area band. The seven-track, hour-long album opens with the somber and reflective “Birth of the Godforsaken.” Here the tone is set right at the beginning – an atmospheric introduction to the overall work.
