ANCIENT SETTLERS: Female-fronted melodic death metal from Spain

Ancient Settlers recently released the EP “Autumnus (Revisited)”. While the new vocalists Nia Creak and Noelia Fernández Jiménez, who joined the band at the beginning of the year, have already shown live how well they fit in with the formation, “Autumnus Revisited” is now the first release with the two voices. Musically, Ancient Settlers dedicate themselves to their origins with the “Revisited” version of the tracks from their debut EP from 2021, while at the same time opening a new chapter in modern melodic death metal. Harder and more emotional than ever before. Decay, betrayal, rebirth and inner struggle are themes that the Spaniards have dedicated themselves to. Completed with an atmospheric instrumental intro and outro as well as the epic EP cover, “Autumnus Revisited” is more than a well-rounded affair. The melodic parts in particular give Ancient Settlers a special touch, with which they move away from their former hardcore style to face new challenges seemingly effortlessly.
