45 years ago today, on July 1, 1981, Bauhaus released “The Passion of Lovers.” Did you already know these 5 facts?
★ “The Passion of Lovers” is the sixth single from Bauhaus.
★ The single reached number 56 in the UK singles charts.
★ The B-side features a crazy montage of different recordings of the band members.
★ Ash’s line was played backward. So what he’s actually saying is: “Naturally enough … the others have been doing their utmost to match this performance … this is something people get when they continually drink whiskey… I can’t drink… I hardly eat these days…. okay, that’s fine.”
★ The first pressing with supplement had a glossy paper cover, later pressings had a soft matt paper cover.
