CNOC AN TURSA: Folk and Black Metal from Scotland

Automatic translation. Improvements are constantly being worked on.

The “heritage black metal” band – as the Scots themselves describe their musical style – Cnoc an Tursa was formed in Falkirk in 2006. The Scottish-Gaelic band name means something like “mound of sorrow” and is connected to the “Calanais Stones” – megaliths on the Isle of Lewis. The black & folk metal band Cnoc An Tursa is deeply connected to Scotland and its history. Their third album “A Cry for the Slain” delves into Scottish folklore. You can find out more about it in our May/June issue.
