Cold Grey Rain creates a captivating atmosphere on its third album “Awakening of Sorrows”. The sound oscillates between cold wave and familiar, cozy eighties synths. A cloak of melancholy envelops you from the very beginning, and at the same time you can feel the electronic coldness that inevitably forces your legs to move. In addition to six English-language tracks, the two French songs “L’empreinte” and “Le Mur” are a special treat for the ears, in which the native speaker feels particularly at home. Sébastien Fort’s dark voice lends the cool sounds a warm color that invites you to linger.
