CRIMSON VEIL: Japanese bondage?

“Ribbons” is a song that is firmly rooted in the shadows that lie at the heart of Crimson Veil lie at the heart of Crimson Veil. It’s about how too many choices in life can also become limitations.” You can find out what that means in our next issue, in which we conduct an in-depth interview with the band. While working on the debut album “Hex” (release date: September 20, 2024), guitarist Garry switched from a 6-string to an 8-string guitar. He explains the difference for all non-musicians: “It has a heavier sound and offers me a greater tonal range. An 8-string guitar has two lower strings, which are normally tuned to B and F sharp. I can retune the F# to E and have it an octave lower than a normal low E, which I think sounds a lot more metallic than a six-string guitar.” In the video itself, the band dedicates itself to the aesthetics of Japanese bondage, which was a real challenge, especially for singer Mishkin.
