CRYSTAL HORIZON: Melodic prog rock without borders

Automatic translation. Improvements are constantly being worked on.

With their self-titled debut EP released today, Crystal Horizon catapult themselves into the prog rock scene. The Norwegians show in a playful way that it’s worth thinking outside the box and repeatedly come up with surprises in five tracks. These are so organically woven into the sound that it always remains melodic without getting stuck in rigid patterns. Thematically, it is about “moments in life when you have the feeling that time is almost standing still, both in your own life and because of the destructive events that are happening in the world.” As a young voice of the present, they reflect on “the feeling of wasting one’s dreams and life itself without being able to do anything about it”. Fans of Porcupine Tree, Radiohead and Leprous should definitely lend Crystal Horizon an ear.
