It’s been 8 years since Depeche Mode released their album “Spirit”. “Spirit” is about the human soul, but also takes an outward look at the world. Not pessimistically, but realistically. It raises numerous questions of meaning and makes you think. The last song ends with the words: “Oh, we are fucked”… It struck a chord with the times (and probably still does today): It reached number 1 in DE, HU, CZ, FR, IT, PO, POR, SLO, CH and the USA!
