“Girls Gang” seems like the soundtrack to an unforgettable night of partying. You are reminded of Anne Clark and Blondie – the strong female singers of the eighties – and yet everything is new. The trio celebrates a melange of new wave, post-punk, synth and indie pop. Rich bass and guitars alternate with each other to present a successful overall package with Dina’s vocals. In terms of content, the name says it all on “Girls Gang”, where the band makes it clear that they won’t be told what to do and that topics such as empowerment (“No More Tears”), being an outsider (“Alien” and “Zombie”) and painful experiences affect us all.
