DRAW: 2x DVDs “Beyond Paradise”

The hilarious crime series “Death in Paradise” is now in its 14th season. Over the years, four more or less eccentric detectives from the UK have done the honors of investigating on Saint Marie. Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall, e.g. “Love Actually”, “Dying for Beginners”), who played the quirky English detective in 30 episodes, is certainly a particular favorite. The likeable 51-year-old was practically tailor-made for the role of the awkward but exceptionally perceptive police officer – and now, fortunately, there is a reunion with Kris Marshall in his signature role as DI Humphrey Goodman: in the DiP spin-off “Beyond Paradise”, he now investigates on the coast of southwest England, which is in no way inferior to the Caribbean as a picturesque location. Marshall remembers what it was like to slip back into the role: “It’s like slipping into an old pair of slippers – he’s a comfortable, dear old friend. It’s just wonderful to play him again.”
