Experienced live: MIDAS FALL

Automatic translation. Improvements are constantly being worked on.

April 16, 2024 – Munich, Feierwerk Sunny Red

The four Scotsmen from Midas Fall did not have to prepare for unfamiliar weather. The Munich spring showed its worse side once again – single-digit temperatures, wind and cloudy skies. Melancholy was in the air. The perfect atmosphere for an evening with Midas Fall at the Feierwerk. At Sunny Red, a cozy club, the foursome kicked off the tour with a mixture of well-known songs and new works such as “Salt” or the title track from the newly released album “Cold Waves Devide Us”. (We reported on the work in our March/April issue).

In any case, the numerous fans were not deterred by the weather. The club was packed and everyone was clearly having fun. However, no one could match the joy that Midas Fall radiated on stage. You could tell that the quartet felt good to be back on stage. Singer Elizabeth Heaton set the tone with her sadly filled arias, while bassist Michael Hamilton laid a spherical sound bed over the club and guitarist Rowan Burn set the highlights with her heartbreaking melodies.

An hour and a half of theatrical, emotional post-rock fireworks were set off before the gig came to an end. After the performance, the band took time for a little chat before everyone said goodbye into the cold Munich night.
