Happy Birthday FARIN URLAUB

Farin Urlaub from Die Ärzte celebrates his 62nd birthday today! We wish him all the best.
Did you know?
– Farin Urlaub and Bela B met in March 1998 in Berlin while pogoing during a punk concert.
– Shortly thereafter, Farin joined the band of Bela Soilent Grün, which, however, disbanded in 1982. Together with bassist Sahnie, they formed Die Ärzte.
– Bela and Farin shared a 38 m² apartment in Berlin in the 1980s.
– They split up in 1988, but before that they gave a hearty farewell concert on Sylt. Most of the visitors couldn’t afford to stay on the island and slept in the beach chairs – just like Farin Urlaub.
– Die Ärzte made it into the Guinnes Book of Records with the video clip for “Yoko Ono”: at 46 seconds long, it was the shortest music video in the world.
