Farin Urlaub from Die Ärzte celebrates today his incredible 60th birthday! We wish him all the best.

Did you know?
– Farin Urlaub and Bela B met in March 1998 in Berlin while pogoing during a punk concert.
– Shortly thereafter, Farin joined the band of Bela Soilent Grün, which, however, disbanded in 1982. From this, together with bassist Sahnie, Die Ärzte was born.
– Bela and Farin shared a 38-m² apartment in Berlin in the eighties.
– They parted ways in 1988, but before that they gave a hearty farewell concert on Sylt. Most visitors could not afford to stay on the island and slept – like Farin Urlaub – in the beach chairs.
Die Ärzte made it into the Guinnes Book of Records with the video clip for “Yoko Ono”: With a length of 46 seconds, it was the shortest music video in the world.
