HATEFUL CHAINS: Between Goth Rock and Post-Punk
Automatic translation. Improvements are constantly being worked on.

The Finnish band Hateful Chains was founded in 2016 and their music oscillates between goth rock and post-punk. They released their second album “Lambs and Goats” last year. Frontwoman Flora Kok had a clear vision for the lyrics: “They were also born out of my own experiences, the grieving process of letting go of the Christian faith I grew up in and the anger that was also present in this process.” The deconstruction of faith is the core theme of the work.
On May 23, 2026, Hateful Chains will perform at 20:00 in the Moritzbastei at this year’s Wave-Gotik-Treffen.
