Hellysh have released their new album, “Heksenkæssel.” The trio from Esens blends old-school death metal from the early ’90s with punk and has long since made a name for itself far beyond the borders of East Frisia. Following their previous album, “13,” this new work is said to be even more uncompromising: Heavier riffing, a relentless rhythm section, and more venomous vocals collide with lyrics about a fractured and unstable present. “Heksenkæssel” serves as a merciless assessment of a reality that is increasingly falling apart.
