The German Electro band In Strict Confidence have been around since 1990, so it’s high time for a special best-of album. On “Mechanical Symphony”, Dennis Ostermann & Co. combine their greatest hits such as “Zauberschloss”, “Snow White”, “Morpheus” and “Forbidden Fruit” with orchestral support. Strings and wind instruments lend the already dramatically constructed pieces an additional dimension that sometimes sounds as if the songs had been written for it. If you want to enjoy the music without words, pick up the second CD, which contains instrumental versions of all the songs.
