Always right in the face. True to the album’s title, “Da Punch,” Krystal System is back with a bang. More than a decade after their last album, the French trio has released a new one. The result is an exciting, lively electro-pop-punk adventure spanning thirteen songs. Heavy basslines, crashing guitars, and wild synth riffs—all perfectly balanced and rounded out by the emotionally charged vocals of singer Bonnie, who switches between French and English depending on the mood. This gives us a wonderful glimpse into the inner lives of the three, in which a great deal has obviously been building up.
