LAZY QUEEN: Norwegian punk with a bite

Until the next album release, Lazy Queen are delighting us with their new single “Unemployed, Uninspired”. It is part of the mixtape “Lost, Never to Be Seen Again Vol. 1”, which will be released on May 30, 2025. Singer Henrik García explains the song: “I think it’s the musical equivalent of screaming ‘Fuck-off-and-let-me-destruct-in-peace’ into your pillow. We wrote it in 2017 and had it as a regular part of our live set back then, but never got around to recording it. Fittingly, I’m currently unemployed again. Despite, or perhaps because of, its obvious gloom and cynicism, it’s a fun song to play and just surrender to. Thematically, it’s perhaps not the healthiest take, and I’m pretty sure my therapist wouldn’t approve. Plus, it contains the only Norwegian lyrics in Lazy Queen ‘s catalog – so we had to record it for posterity.”
