LINKIN PARK: Iridescent, extraterrestrial toy?

“Transformers” fans know this: exactly 14 years ago to the day, on May 27, 2011, LINKIN PARK released the song “Iridescent”, which was used for the soundtrack of “Transformers 3: The Dark Side of the Moon”. However, this was nothing new, as LINKIN PARK also contributed songs to the other films about the toy-based quick-change artists. With bands like MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE or SMASHING PUMPKINS, they are in good company. “Iridescent” also made it into the charts: in the UK, the single reached No. 1 in the rock category, in South Korea and Lebanon it reached No. 2, and in the USA it peaked at No. 19.
