LISA GERRARD & JULES MAXWELL announce live album

The new live album “One Night in Porto” (release date: May 12, 2023) by Lisa Gerrard and Jules Maxwell of Dead Can Dance is a beautiful reinterpretation of their 2021 collaboration “Burn.” The recordings are from the Portugal tour in November 2022.
Instead of simply reproducing the album live, the pair decided to use its melodic themes and sonic textures as a springboard for something new. They spent four rainy days rehearsing in a small theater by the sea in Espinho and then toured Portugal to perform the work.
