LORDI: Time travel to the heavy metal of the eighties?

Automatic translation. Improvements are constantly being worked on.

With their new single “Syntax Terror”, Lordi imagine us in a video game-like world full of wicked melodies, thunderous riffs and, as usual, irresistible hooks. Mr Lordi explains: “This song evolved from its main keyboard riff. I played around with mono sounds and tried to create something reminiscent of the opening melodies of various action movies from the eighties.” It is also the first forerunner of the new album “Limited Deadition”, which will be released on March 21, 2025. Mr Lordi continues: “‘Syntax Terror’ would almost have been the album title if it hadn’t been for the fact that other people had already come up with the same idea earlier. When writing the verses I had Judas Priest in my head, while the chorus is supposed to remind me of Manowar. But don’t ask me what the lyrics are about. ‘Syntax Terror’ is a hugely eighties-inspired heavy metal song that paints an abstract picture with every line!”
