MERCURY’S ANTENNAE: Dreamy Electro Ambient

Automatic translation. Improvements are constantly being worked on.

In nine tracks, Mercury’s Antennae invite you into their sonic world on “Among the Black Trees”. The floating, atmospheric electro sounds are carried by the angelic voice of Dru Allen (This Ascension). Bassist Cindy Coulter (This Ascension, Faith and the Muse) and guitarist Erick R. Scheid (The Palace of Tears) complete the trio. Erick muses: “‘Among the Black Trees’ is in a way a concept album. Themes of love, death, rebirth, reconciliation and the imagined passion of the unseen world are brought into the music sonically and emotionally.”

They had been working on the album since 2018, but then the pandemic changed everything. New projects became more important and “Among the Black Trees” was put on hold for a while. Cindy reflects: “This work has certainly been a journey! Relocations of band members, a worldwide pandemic and a lot of distance in between. I’m delighted that it’s finally seeing the light of day and going out to an audience that will hopefully find joy and inspiration in it.”
