MOTHICA: Lost?

In a way, Mothica is living the dream of many: When she uploaded her music to TikTok in 2020, a real hype developed. Now she is releasing her third album, “Kissing Death”, on August 23, 2024. In it, Mothica combines the musical with the visual and created a matching video for each individual song. She processes her turbulent past, which was characterized by suicide attempts, alcohol and drug addiction, and packs it into varied dark pop sounds peppered with electronics and rock. The videos tell a continuous story that begins with a look back at her 15-year-old self:
