MOTHICA: Mirage?
In a way, Mothica is living the dream of many: When she uploaded her music to TikTok in 2020, a real hype developed. As moths “are overlooked compared to butterflies, but have something mysterious about them as they are nocturnal”, McKenzie Ellis chose Mothica as the name for her project. She has numerous insects tattooed on her body: 6 moths, 2 beetles, 2 scorpions, a bumblebee and a tarantula. A seventh moth tattoo is being planned. Mothica continues her video single series with “Mirage”.
