MYRNA LOY: 35 years ago …
SPONSORED POST

After 30 years of radio silence, it’s time to step out of the shadows. But we are getting ahead of ourselves. Myrna Loy released their debut album “I Press My Lips in Your Inner Temple” 35 years ago. Their explosive blend of (dark) wave, industrial, ambient and a pinch of pop has remained legendary to this day. In 1989, they were the only German band to make the SPEX/WOM annual sales charts alongside Jingo de Lunch and Einstürzende Neubauten. – They could not be assigned to any genre and played tours throughout Germany until 1993. Myrna Loy also accompanied international acts such as Anne Clark and And Also the Trees as a support band.
So it is only natural that the debut “I Press My Lips in Your Inner Temple” was reissued for the 35th anniversary at the end of 2024. For the first time in digital form and with 10 bonus live tracks recorded at the Zeche Bochum (1988), the Batschkapp Frankfurt and the Luxor in Cologne (1989). Four of these songs have never been released on an album before.
