After the epic piano-driven piece “Nachtetüde” on pianist Kateryna Gubanova’s last Nachtmahr album was so well received, “Dominant” is an album in which she reinterprets selected Nachtmahr classics with the keyboard instrument. In our September/October issue, we talk to the talented Ukrainian about the balance between darkness and beauty, the fascination of Nachtmahr and, of course, invite Supreme Commander Thomas Rainer to join us.
