★ Nine Inch Nails’ third EP is called “Not the Actual Events” and is the first part of a trilogy that was completed with “Add Violence” (2017) and “Bad Witch” (2018).
★ The EP was released under Trent Reznor’s own label The Null Corporation.
★ “Not the Actual Events” is the first work in which Atticus Ross, who has been working for the band for a long time, takes part as an official band member.
★ Trent Reznor told Rolling Stone: “I wanted the music to sound kind of ugly and unfriendly and not enticing with a sexy hook.”
★ The EP reached number 2 in the Billboard charts in the USA.
