Orkus! album of the week: WRITTEN BY WOLVES – The Lighthouse

Fresh and different: Cinematic Prog Rock
WRITTEN BY WOLVES
“The Lighthouse“
Album (in-house production)
Written By Wolves light the way like a lighthouse with “The Lighthouse”. The concept album deals with the search for “home”, although this is not meant to be location-specific. It goes deep into one’s own abysses and becomes really emotional with “Please, Just Breathe”, for example. Epic choirs support the powerful sound, which the band themselves describe as “progressive cinematic rock”. Electronic sounds, a hint of industrial and the use of synthesizers with hard metal riffs create a powerful bastard. Almost every single song is a hit and catchy tune. Fresh and different!
