KIRLIAN CAMERA: On Stage

Kirlian Camera have long been regarded as the Italian electronic and darkwave sound visionaries par excellence and were back on tour after a long time, which also took them to the Cult in Nuremberg.

The venue was completely sold out and the loyal fan base could hardly wait for Kirlian Camera to take to the stage. We waited in vain for bassist Mia, the formation was a trio today. But they were also convincing as such and so the evening began with the classic “Twilight Fields”. It’s hard to believe that it was first published more than 30 years ago. Also the own cover of Stalingrad Valkyrie – whose core members also consist of the enchanting and paralyzing Elena Alice Fossi and founding member Angelo Bergamini – could not be missed on this evening. This was followed by a new song from the new album “Radio Signals for the Dying”, which is expected in February. – And it even has lyrics partly in German: “Götter geht weg” offered a successful insight into the Italians’ next masterpiece. The atmosphere was boiling from the front rows to the back. While Angelo tended to stay in the background and provided the appropriate electronic sounds, it was above all frontwoman Elena who caught the eye and knew how to charm the packed hall with her unmistakable, characterful voice.
