Musically, the band Skaphos, founded in France in 2018, is a death metal and abyssal death metal band. Melodic black metal merges with hard death metal to form a harmonious whole. On April 10, 2026, Skaphos released their album “The Descent” via Les Acteurs de l’Ombre Productions, in which they reinterpreted their earlier works. The first four songs include tracks from the album “Bathyscaphe” (2020), the remaining four from “Thooi” (2022). You can find out more about the quartet in our May/June issue.

Skaphos ‘ live shows in particular have long since become legendary. They have already supported Vader, Marduk and Belphegor.
