THE HIVES – “The Hives Forever Forever the Hives”

Old-school grunge with freshness
THE HIVES
“The Hives Forever Forever the Hives“
Album (Play It Again Sam)
The Hives – an integral part of the Swedish rock scene for over 30 years now – don’t do things by halves. And so “The Hives Forever Forever the Hives” is a narcissistic manifesto that celebrates The Hives throughout. – What’s more, the quintet are wearing royal robes on the album cover for a reason – and rightly so. A wink is allowed! The album opens with echoes of Nirvana, which characterize the overall image of “Enough Is Enough”. It remains cheeky, fast and dirty with “Hooray Hooray Hooray” or “O.C.D.O.D.”. In short: this feeling of “Born a Rebel” has definitely remained with The Hives.
