Why did Peter Murphy, Daniel Ash, David J and Kevin Haskins decide on such a band name? Clearly, all four of them studied art. David J explained the choice based on the “stylistic implications and associations”. The band’s font is the same one that was used for the Bauhaus building in Dessau.
