Album (Subsound Records)

Nero Kane has dedicated himself to a sound between psych dark folk, folk liturgy and avant-garde. The fourth album finds its way into sparse sound spaces in a haunting way. In “The World Heedless of Our Pain”, the persistent arrangement and turning of the world are given a new accent with Italian vocals, before they connect and progress. Guitar strings and vocal cords carry “Mountain of Sin”. Samantha Stella directed the experimental short film that visually accompanies the extended opener. In nine or eight (vinyl) tracks, the album exercises restraint in its design, but not in its intensity.
