WARDRUNA give the guardian of the forests a voice

In our December/January issue, we have an in-depth conversation with Einar Selvik from Wardruna. About the title track of the new album “Birna”, which will be released on January 24, 2025, he says: “The song illustrates a dialog between humans and bears and illustrates the different characteristics and abilities that we humans have tried to adopt from these important totem animals throughout history. For me, it was the right time to give a voice to Birna, the mother and guardian of the disappearing forests.”
