CHAMELEONS: Cool, poppy and a touch of David BOWIE

Chameleons were founded in England in 1981 at a time when Margaret Thatcher’s politics were dividing the country and various conflicts were causing uncertainty on the continent. Together with several other bands, Chameleons shaped the post-punk sound and made a name for themselves with their first albums. However, after the sudden death of their manager Tony Fletcher, the band disbanded in 1987. After a brief resurgence in the early 2000s, the band around singer Mark Burgess, known as Vox, got back together in 2021 and started work on a new album. And here it is: “Arctic Moon”. – Cool, poppy and a touch of David Bowie. Find out more in our September/October issue.
