It was probably the deepest insight into the soul life of the three Londoners. The album thrives on melancholy and optimistic 70s pop melodies, which are brought together excellently by Harry McVeigh’s vocals. The emotional lyrics lie softly on the driving synthesizer beds that emerged from the collaboration with Seth Evans and lend White Lies a new maturity.
