Even compared to their last album, which was high in the charts, Nachtblut have gone one better. Hammering bass, catchy riffs and clear synths are paired with powerful, gritty vocals. In addition to harder songs such as “Von Hass getrieben” or “Nachtgeweiht”, the album also features melodic, medieval or even western sounds with “Das Leben der anderen”, “Stirb langsam” or “Schneller als der Tod”. Political and socio-critical themes are addressed in a way that is anything but subtle, without forgetting songs with humor or a certain self-irony. – All in all, a mixture worth listening to.
