MARILYN MANSON – “Cupid Carries a Gun” – was released 10 years ago today. Do you know these 5 facts?

Exactly 10 years ago to the day, Marilyn Manson’s third single from “The Pale Emperor” (2015) called “Cupid Carries a Gun” was released. Did you already know these 5 facts?
★ The lyrics to “Cupid Carries a Gun” were the first that Marilyn Manson wrote for “The Pale Emperor”. However, the track was recorded last.
★ Manson wrote and produced the play together with Tyler Bates.
★ Shortly afterwards, Tyler wrote the music for the series “Salem”. The piece “Cupid Carries a Gun” is already inspired by it and so there are allusions to witchcraft in it.
★ An excerpt lasting less than a minute was already heard as the title melody of “Salem” on April 27, 2014 before its release.
★ The album artwork was created by Nicholas Cope and is inspired by Ary Scheffer’s painting “Faust in his Study” (1831).
