RAMMSTEIN: Tarantino, David Lynch and CLAWFINGER

On July 28, 1997 – 28 years ago – Rammstein released their single “Du hast”. Did you already know these 7 facts?
★ “Du hast” entered the German singles charts at number five in August 1997 and remained in the top 100 for eleven weeks.
★ The single also includes “Bück dich” and two remixes, one by producer Jacob Hellner, the other by Clawfinger.
★ The single cover shows the face of Paul Landers.
★ When Rammstein received the MTV European Music Award for “Best Rock Act” on November 12, 1998, they performed “Du hast”.
★ The video for the song “Du hast” was directed by Philipp Stölzl. Philipp was already responsible for the video for “Engel” as art director. “Du hast” was his first video clip as a director.
★ Philipp Stölzl was thinking of Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” (1992) for the video of “Du hast”, while the explosion running backwards is an homage to David Lynch’s “Lost Highway” (1996).
★ The video clip is one of the most viewed Rammstein videos on YouTube.
