★ The album name refers to the Ed Wood film “The Sinister Urge” (1960).
★ Like his debut “Hellbilly Deluxe”, “The Sinister Urge” also features elements of the horror film, both lyrically and musically. There are even a few danceable songs on the album.
★ “Iron Head” is a feature song with Ozzy Osbourne (Black Sabbath), while Slayer guitarist Kerry King contributes a guitar solo for “Dead Girl Superstar”.
