Rock am Ring 2026: A line-up of superlatives – legends meet new generations
The Nürburgring is gearing up for a legendary festival: Rock am Ring 2026 combines goosebumps and unforgettable moments. The advance sales figures are already exceeding all expectations: Within the first hour, 45,000 tickets found their buyers, now there are over 70,000 – a record that impressively underlines the huge anticipation of the fans. From June 5 to 7, 2026, the Nürburgring will once again be transformed into the epicenter of the rock and metal world.
The headliners have been announced
The first big wave of bands has now been unveiled – and it’s a big one! First and foremost, the big trio: Linkin Park – one of the most influential bands of an entire generation – are returning to the Ring stage after more than a decade. A prospect that is already making fans’ hearts beat faster. Iron Maiden, the metal icons, will play their only German shows at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park as part of their ‘Run For Your Lives’ tour in 2026. An epic experience for the fans. Volbeat – with their mix of rock’n’roll, metal and massive hit density, they bring their only German appearances to the twin festivals in 2026.
The highlights:
- Bad Omens – one of the most exciting modern alternative metal bands, notorious for dark atmospheres, massive riffs and intense live shows, will set the Mandora Stage on fire.
- Limp Bizkit – pure nu-metal cult: Fred Durst & Co. bring back the crossover madness and ensure collective escalation.
- Papa Roach – a guarantee for adrenaline for decades: anthems like “Last Resort” turn the audience into a mosh pit.
- Within Temptation – Symphonic-Metal in oversize: bombastic soundscapes and a voice that makes the Nürburgring kneel down.
- Architects – British metalcore combo who cut a swathe through the infield with hard breakdowns and anthemic power.
- Electric Callboy – Demolition Squad Deluxe: With humor, metalcore and pop explosions, they serve up their biggest festival show yet.
- Babymetal – Metal meets J-Pop: The exceptional Japanese talents deliver an experience that explodes between surprise and euphoria.
- Sabaton – epic battle hymns, thundering riffs and a show that rolls across the stage like a musical campaign.

Weekend tickets currently cost €259, day tickets are not on offer this time. Regular camping tickets start at €79. From everyday campers to exclusive sleeping accommodation – as usual, there are various options, fast lane passes and VIP upgrades to make the festival experience even more comfortable.
By popular demand, Experience Camping 2026 is moving back to the infield – closer to the festival, closer to the music. New tent options, a relaxed lounge area, a variety of catering options and free access to areas A & B of the main stage await you there.
